What Gideon Gave Up For The Gospel
| We continue to work closely with Pastor Paul and other Mandarin-speaking leaders, who asked us to pass along their heartfelt gratitude to those who have given to make these 50 Mandarin Bible Schools possible. They’ve emphasized to us that this work—and these schools—are not just about one specific people or nation, but are part of a global mission and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Through this training, nationals in persecuted regions of Asia are being trained up to go to other regions and even other nations as Missionaries! |
Gideon
| Take Gideon’s story as an example. Gideon felt called to share the Gospel with a particular people group in Asia. When he went, his message was not well received. Arguments followed, and eventually his hand was cut off! Gideon told us, “Because God chose me to reach them, I did not hate them. Instead, I welcomed them and introduced many to Jesus.” He went on to explain that this kind of love shocked the people—because they recognized it as love that comes from the True God. “Because man alone could not forgive such an injustice done to him.” We are not stopping at 50 schools. Gideon and others will be launching Bible Schools in new territories. In the coming months, Sara will be traveling to a secret gathering of Asian church leaders. We are prayerfully expecting to build many new partnerships and see several new Bible schools launched as a result. The cost of this trip is $1,950, which we will need to raise above our regular monthly support. Thank you for your continued financial support and prayers! |
